PROGRAMME This is a Winter Walking Techniques course and expedition, tent based in the Visdalen area of the Jotenheimen mountains in Central Norway. Included in the programme will be :- Basic Winter walking skills Use of ice axe and crampons Step cutting Snow / ice belaying Ropework Survival skills - including snowholing Introduction to snowshoeing (for peak approaches) Practice climbs on local peaks Ascents of Glittertind and Galdhoppigen This is an ideal opportunity for the experienced hill walker to broaden their horizons on a real life expedition.
